This Code of Conduct explains what Clovord expects from Partners and
what Partners can expect from us.
By joining or remaining in the Partner Program, you agree to comply with
this document.
Document: Partner CoC
Effective: 2026-02-16
Applies to: Partners, Partner Staff, Partner Communities
Contents
1) Purpose
The Clovord Partner Program exists to highlight and support communities,
creators, and projects that strengthen the Clovord ecosystem.
Partnership is a privilege, not a right, and requires ongoing trust.
This Code of Conduct is designed to protect users, Partners, and Clovord.
It sets clear expectations around community safety, integrity, and responsible
promotion.
2) Values
- Safety first: Protect users from harassment, exploitation, and harmful content.
- Integrity: Be honest in representation, promotions, and metrics.
- Respect: Treat people fairly, even in disagreement.
- Responsibility: Moderate your spaces and content with care.
- Collaboration: Work with Clovord when issues arise.
3) Eligibility & Ongoing Requirements
Partners must continuously meet the Partner Program requirements. This
includes, but is not limited to:
- Operating in good standing on Clovord and other platforms relevant to your partnership.
- Maintaining active moderation and clear community rules.
- Providing accurate, up-to-date information in your Partner profile and announcements.
- Responding to security or trust inquiries from Clovord within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ensuring Partner Staff (moderators/admins) follow similar standards of behavior.
Minimum expectation
Your community or project should be a net positive for users and
represent Clovord in a trustworthy way.
4) Expected Partner Behavior
- Transparent promotion: Clearly label ads, sponsorships, affiliate links, or paid partnerships when applicable.
- Responsible growth: Use ethical marketing practices (no spam, no deceptive invites, no fake scarcity).
- Healthy moderation: Actively enforce rules, address harassment quickly, and escalate serious issues.
- Respect for privacy: Do not dox, track, or misuse personal information.
- Security hygiene: Protect Partner-owned accounts, bots, websites, and infrastructure from common risks.
- Constructive communication: Engage in feedback with professionalism and good faith.
5) Prohibited Conduct
Partnership may be removed for any of the following (examples, not exhaustive):
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse.
- Sexual exploitation, grooming, or any content involving minors.
- Scams, phishing, fraud, impersonation, or deceptive practices.
- Encouraging or facilitating rule evasion, ban evasion, or coordinated abuse.
- Distribution of malware, credential theft, or malicious automation.
- Spam campaigns (DM spam, mention spam, automated invite spam, or unsolicited mass messaging).
- Manipulating metrics (fake engagement, bought followers, fake traffic, artificial votes).
- Using the Partner status to intimidate users or other communities.
Zero-tolerance areas
Sexual exploitation, fraud/scams, doxxing, and coordinated harassment
can trigger immediate Partner removal.
6) Brand & Representation
- Do not claim to be “official Clovord staff” unless explicitly authorized in writing.
- Do not misrepresent partnership benefits or imply endorsements outside the Partner Program scope.
- Use Clovord branding only as permitted by Clovord guidelines (logos, marks, assets, naming).
- If Clovord requests changes to misleading branding or messaging, comply promptly.
If you need brand assets or usage guidance, request it via the Partner
contact channel (see
Contact).
7) Safety, Legal & Compliance
- Follow applicable laws and platform policies (including content, advertising, and consumer protection rules).
- If you handle user data, comply with privacy requirements (e.g., GDPR where applicable).
- Operate age-appropriate spaces and ensure sensitive content is correctly gated and moderated.
- Promptly report security incidents that could impact users (e.g., compromised accounts, leaked tokens, breaches).
Partners are responsible for their own operations. Clovord may request
documentation or proof of compliance when needed.
8) Standing Level Enforcement (StandingLevel 3)
Automatic partnership deactivation at StandingLevel 3
If a Partner-associated User
or Guild reaches
StandingLevel 3, or gets Deactivated for any reason, the partnership
will be
cancelled.
This rule applies regardless of the cause, and includes (but is not
limited to) severe or repeated violations, trust & safety escalations,
or other behavior that indicates elevated risk to the ecosystem.
What this means in practice:
- Partnership perks, visibility, and Partner verification may be removed immediately.
- Clovord may restrict access to Partner-only tools and channels.
- Clovord may require remediation steps before any future reconsideration.
If you believe a StandingLevel 3 event was applied incorrectly, you can
appeal (see
Reporting & Cooperation).
Clovord reserves the right to take action before StandingLevel
3 if behavior or risk warrants it, including temporary suspension while
an investigation is ongoing.
9) Reporting & Cooperation
- Report issues: Partners should report serious incidents impacting users as soon as possible.
- Cooperate: Provide relevant logs, context, or actions taken when requested (within privacy/legal limits).
- No retaliation: Do not punish or intimidate users for reporting concerns in good faith.
10) Enforcement & Consequences
Violations may result in actions including:
- Warning and corrective action requirements
- Temporary suspension of partnership benefits
- Removal from Partner listings, badges, and promotional placements
- Permanent termination of partnership
- Additional platform enforcement where applicable
Clovord may consider context such as severity, intent, harm, frequency,
and remediation. Some violations can trigger immediate action without
warning.
11) Changes
Clovord may update this Code of Conduct to reflect policy changes, safety
improvements, or program adjustments.
Updated versions become effective on publication, unless stated otherwise.
Continued participation in the Partner Program after changes take effect
constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12) Contact
For Partner questions, clarifications, or appeals, contact Clovord through
your Partner communication channel or via the official support route.
